Macrocyclics is seeking applications for an industrial post-doctoral fellow to work as part of our synthesis and discovery development team. This individual will play an important role for the synthesis of new peptide targeting vectors and chelating agents that are critical to our targeted radioimmunotherapy program. Macrocyclics became a fully owned subsidiary of AREVA Med in 2011. The synergy between the two groups provides an exciting environment to promote the development of targeted alpha therapy using the isotope Pb-212. The combined companies completed construction of a new state of the art facility in 2016 which houses production, research and development and cGMP manufacturing.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the small scale synthesis of peptides that will be screened for therapeutic applications. The candidate will also work with the chelating agent development group to design and prepare novel chelating agent targets which can expand applications for molecular imaging and bioconjugation procedures.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemistry with strong publication record in peer reviewed journals.
Demonstrated expertise in synthetic organic chemistry and analytical
techniques.
Effective and independent problem solver.
Previous experience with automated peptide synthesis and chelation
chemistry
Self-motivated, able to work efficiently and productively within a dynamic
team environment
Generates novel ideas and proposes strategy to obtain results.
Excellent communication skills and work ethic.
Experienced with mass spectrometry and HPLC (analytical and reparative).
Must have demonstrated awareness of laboratory safety procedures.
