Baylor College of Medicine and Department Summary:

The Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a faculty for our phase I Unit in the DLDCCC. This position will be appointed as Senior Faculty and will hold an appointment in the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center. The position will be for a total effort of 1.0 FTE.

The senior faculty will provide strategic direction and promote translational research with the DLDCCC and other academic units at the BCM. This roll will also help mentor and recruit clinical-translational investigators in medicine, surgery, and other units. Other duties will include:

  • Enhancing and facilitating collaborative research.
  • Integrating and coordinating basic science programs within the DLDCCC; serve as mentor and build next generation of translational researchers in cancer across departments.
  • Foster and build a milieu that will enhance development of bench to bedside trials and team grants.
  • Provide direction and help recruit and mentor the phase I program; and help in shaping the DLDCCC and integrate the center with national programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • M.D. or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
