Job DescriptionGeneral Summary:
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a IT AV Systems Support Administrator. The IT AV Systems Support Administrator will be a member of Enterprise Audio Visual Services (EAVS is a department within the Division of Information Technology) and be responsible for providing audio/visual support, digital media production, and general IT assistance for University and community events. As the IT AV Systems Support Administrator, this position will provide professional video, audio, lighting, and display enhancement for events primarily in the University of North Georgia Convocation Center on the Dahlonega Campus. The employee will provide third party software support and training for staff and student support personnel. This position will require evening and weekend hours. It will also require occasional travel to all campuses and off-campus destinations requiring audio/visual support. The position will report to the Director of Enterprise Event Support.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The IT AV Systems Support Administrator will:
Provide support for live events to include concerts, major performances, conferences, lectures, graduations, convocations, athletics, and video conferencing for University, Continuing Education, and Public Service events. The scope of the work will include setup, teardown, operation, and maintenance of equipment as needed. Provide Audio Engineering for Front of House and Live Video Streaming. Provide assistance with engineering solutions for audio enhancement, video production, video presentation, and lighting enhancement in the University Convocation Center. Ensure events meet ADA and University adaptability standards and policies.
Perform live video production engineering as well as pre and post-production engineering. Video/Audio editing and production of recorded events such as lectures for archival purposes, instruction, or presentation.
Maintain accurate EAVS events schedule and make sure appropriate equipment is in place, support staff are coordinated, and internal/external communication has taken place well before an event occurs.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external constituents via phone, email, or in-person, as needed, pertaining to equipment and services available to meet EAVS audio/visual support requests.
Maintain currency of skills through training and continual study, including ADA compliance issues for AV at large venues and events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software, advanced understanding of digital media manipulation and non-linear video editing software, media file formats, and conversion utilities.
Ability to multi-task, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate with team members and users in an effective manner.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.
Ability and willingness to stay abreast of and evaluate emerging technologies
Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred
Two years of experience in IT/audio/visual/live event support; or, an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
CTS Preferred, Audinate Dante Certified Preferred, QSC Q-SYS Certified, and ETCP Certified Rigger Preferred
Experience facilitating video conferences is a plus.
Significant knowledge and experience using a variety of digital media production hardware, particularly Ross Video Systems, Hitachi Broadcast Cameras, Sony ENG Cameras, Dante Audio Networking, Yamaha Digital Audio Mixers, Shure Wireless Microphones, and Listen Technologies Assistive Listening Devices.
Must have knowledge and experience with setup/operation/breakdown/maintance of audio/visual/lighting systems including sound boards, microphones, amps, speakers, LED lighting, and projectors for indoor as well as outdoor events.
Knowledge and experience with Theatrical LED lighting along with the operation of High End Systems HOG 4 consoles.
