Job Description

Position Highlights:

Supervises the design, planning, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Cancer Center’s Human Resources/Payroll Lawson System. Provides system administration and support for applications including, but not limited to, the Center's HRIS, Employee & Manager Self Service (EMSS), ImageNow, and Occupational Health software. Ensure a detailed analysis of HR data exports and imports (interfaces) is maintained in order to ensure upgrades, implementation and design changes are considered in light of data flow. Manages task priorities for HRIS and any related work with IT.

 

Ideal Candidate:

· Proven experience leading small or medium sized projects to completion.

·Project Management certification such as PMP, CAPM, CPM, PPM, CSM, CSSBB/CSSGB or other relevant and approved certification completed within 2 years of starting this role.

·Proficient in MS Office products, especially Word, Excel, OneNote, and Access. Able to translate business needs to technical requirements and lead team as such.

·Preferred: PHR, SPHR and/or GPHR.

·Preferred:Healthcare experience.

·Preferred: Experience with SQL or similar reporting tool.

·Preferred: Previous supervisory experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of HRIS/HR Systems team members and the processes that fall within the scope of the team members. This includes, but is not limited to, supervising the HRIS team for data processes, accuracy, and proper timing for payroll purposes.
  • Leads the team in software implementations or upgrades as needed by Human Resources and tests applications within the department.
  • Through the team, monitors system performance, identifies processes that need remediation, and determines corrective actions when needed (system failures).
  • Audits User Security for various HR Systems and Software.
  • Leads the team in identifying and automating processes to mitigate human errors and allow for higher-level (technical) work of the team. Identifies and implements system enhancements for process improvements of program HR modules of the ERP to meet the needs of the business (system/process improvement).
  • Ensures system documentation is maintained by team members.
  • Represents HR in various committees and planning groups in relation to HRIS.

 

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in HRIS or IT business systems required. * High School Diploma/GED plus six ( 6) years of progressive HRIS or IT business systems experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.*

 

  • Knowledge of HR applications, employee and manager self service, and standard benefits designs required. Proven experience in writing queries and maintaining reporting databases.
