Position Summary
This role will serve as an advanced subject matter expert for multi-disciplinary system administration within HRIS, including but not limited to design, configuration, reporting, training, documentation, and operational work in one or more domains. The role will be responsible for responding to business needs with problem analysis, solution recommendations, feature evaluation and data security. The role will act as the HR systems liaison between business teams, vendors and IT to ensure that systems are meeting the needs of the business and operating seamlessly with the rest of the enterprise. The role is also responsible for handling details of a highly confidential and critical nature, and must function efficiently and effectively, in a Healthcare/Lifesciences or similar environment. 

Key Responsibilities include:
Essential Functions: 

  • Identify, design, implement and maintain system solutions in one or more domains to meet business requirements.
  • Act as workstream lead on system projects, feature releases and process design initiatives as needed. Provide direction to technical developers for data conversion, complex reports, interfaces, error handling and custom process builds
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify improvement and innovation opportunities around system, process and user experience, and define options with justification, impacts and data findings.
  • Provide operational support for system or data issues, complex system/process questions, reporting and change requests. Own the resolutions, communicate system updates ad serve as liaison between internal customers and all support entities.
  • Analyze data structures and meet complex information needs through established reports or utilization of various tools and applications to develop new reports for HR and other business users
  • Manage and create documentation around system requirements, configuration, support, testing and reference guides for compliance and usability.
  • Monitor and maintain security information for HR and identify need for updating guidelines and application/data security requirements.
  • Administer, audit, and monitor HR systems transactions and reports to ensure data integrity, reconcile discrepancies and identify corrective actions needed to improve data quality
  • Lead design and implementations of HR interfaces and coordinate all activities, including requirements gathering, data mapping, design specifications, test strategy and scheduling with IT and vendor teams
  • Continuously increase knowledge in HR technology by serving as an expert on functional capabilities, staying informed on product capabilities and trends, sharing knowledge within HRIS and business teams, and interacting with vendor communities.
  • Collaborate in the development, update and adherence of HRIS guidelines, templates and procedures.
  • Mentor and train HRIS analysts in HRIS operations, system design, processes, procedures and in research/analysis approach as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
     

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of related experience
  • In-depth system knowledge and demonstrated experience with process flow, configuration design, reporting and integrations in complex HR and/or related systems (e.g. PeopleSoft HCM, Workday, Oracle, Taleo, Cornerstone, etc.); Demonstrated experience in system analysis, design, support, implementation and vendor coordination.
