Job Description
Summary
The lab is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, technically-skilled research technician who will be responsible for helping to manage the laboratory and to perform experiments. This role is ideally suited for a recent college graduate who is seeking additional years of hands-on research experience before pursuing graduate or medical school. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Job Duties
- Prepares and conducts laboratory RNA biology research experiments.
- Collects, compiles and analyzes associated data.
- Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
- Documents results of experiments.
- Selects, evaluates and applies techniques used in routine research.
- Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Helps with lab organization and supports duties related to lab operations.
- Performs routine molecular biology and cell culture techniques to assist other researches.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloning and/or RNA biochemistry.
- Experience with computational analysis in R or python.
- Experience with imaging.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, prioritization skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
