Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Chemistry and Biochemistry faculty position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry beginning August 2023.
Responsibilities
Teaching assignments will typically be 15 contact hours of laboratories and lecture in the inorganic and/or organic chemistry sequences per week. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and contribute to the quality and growth of the program.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of an M.S. degree, or foreign equivalent, in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field such as chemical education or chemical engineering, with at least 18 graduate hours in chemistry or biochemistry.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with flipped classroom instruction, POGIL, or other pedagogies
Up to 5 years of experience as an instructor of record for chemistry courses
Evidence of teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community and a commitment to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of faculty endeavor.
Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
At least one year of teaching experience, experience with large enrollment courses, and familiarity with reform pedagogies.
