Job Description

ANATOMIC PATHOLOGY HOSPITALIST/SURGICAL PATHOLOGY SUBSPECIALIST

 

The Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Board-certified Pathologist with a predominant focus and interest in hospital-based intraoperative pathology to join the Department of Anatomic Pathology. This position would focus on the intraoperative/frozen section service at a new inpatient hospital 2 miles from the main hospital and involve regular, direct interaction with surgical colleagues and a focus on practice excellence. Candidates would also have the opportunity to sign out in their surgical pathology subspecialty.

 

This is a full-time position and rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates must have completed a subspecialty pathology fellowship, preferably along with a surgical pathology general fellowship, or have extensive have clinical experience in hospital-based intraoperative pathology with a focused on one organ specialty. In addition, the candidate must possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical license and be Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. The ideal candidate must have a focus on diagnostic excellence performing at a standard commensurate with a major academic center.
