Under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse (RN) or physician, the LPN is accountable for the quality of nursing care he or she provides to patients and utilizing the nursing process, assumes responsibility for contribution of planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients in the at Martin Medical Center, Martin Hospital South, and/or Tradition Medical Center.  As a member of the Nursing Department Team, the LPN collaborates with other Nursing Team members to execute the corporate goals and objectives of Martin Health System.  The LPN ensures ongoing professional growth and development.

To effectively fulfill this position, candidate must meet the following requirements:

The LPN, Perioperative Services must have graduated from an accredited LPN program, with:

Ø  Current/Active State of FL PN (Licensed Practical Nurse) License required - primary source online verification required directly from State of Florida Licensing database.

Ø  Current acceptable CPR certification required:  American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider OR American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer OR American Red Cross Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Ø  Sufficient previous clinical experience.
