NTRO Research Coordinator II

Health Outcomes and Behavior 

H. This position is posted as part time, however, may grow into a full time position.   

 

Position Highlights: 

  • The Research Coordinator II will work with the designated PI and the Moffitt Cancer Center-Ponce Health Science University partnership’s Outreach Core and the Outreach Core Community Advisory Panel. 
  • Works independently under general supervision to coordinate the Outreach Core activities. 
  • Organization of Outreach events and activities, including community educational events. 
  • Data collection including tracking event participation and reach. 
  • Work with multiple databases. 
  • Support the Spanish-language online program (Cancer 101) aimed at training individuals on delivering cancer education to Hispanic/Latino community members 
  • Assist with preparing progress reports, core renewal documents, etc.   
  • Help organize, facilitate, and track the outcomes of the Outreach Core events, trainings, and programs 

 

The Ideal Candidate 

  • A professional, personable, organized individual with research experience and healthcare/medical knowledge.  
  • The ability to multi-task is highly desirable. 
  • Experience or education in psychology, public health, or related field 

 

 Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate virtual and in person events. 
  • Knowledge in social media platforms and postings. 
  • Creating promotional and educational material. 
  • Recruiting participants and engaging in community events (including evening and weekend). 
  • Manage training platform, track completions, and onboard new participants. 
  • Create presentations and annual project summaries. 

 

Credentials and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of relevant experience required OR Associate's degree required with 3 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with no experience
  • Candidate must live and work in the Tampa Bay Area. 
  • Candidate must be fully bilingual in Spanish. 
  • Hands on research experience. 
  • Must have good organization and communication skills.  
  • Must work well under pressure of meeting mandatory deadlines.  
  • Candidate is required to have reliable transportation to travel as needed throughout the Tampa Bay Area.
