Summary

A Postdoctoral Fellow position available at the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy for motivated and skillful applicants interested in translational immunology and engineered cell therapies of cancer. The main project involves developing novel strategies for limiting host rejection of allogeneic cell therapies and enhancing engraftment of therapeutic cells in the host. The candidate will develop new models to test host immune rejection and engraftment of allogeneic lymphocies and lead IND-enabling studies for selected approaches for subsequent clinical translation.

Job Duties

  • Designs chimeric constructs and evaluates their function in human NK and T cells in vitro.
  • Evaluates anti-tumor activity of human lymphocytes in humanized mouse models of human malignancies.
  • Analyzes literature and develops new hypotheses to test in pilot experiments.
  • Assists with writing reports and manuscripts and presents at scientific meetings.
  • Maintains a timely log of experimental notes.
  • Cooperates willingly and works towards solutions which generally benefit all involved parties; works together with others to accomplish company objectives; promotes collaboration and partnerships.
  • Shares ideas, techniques and expertise, and respects those of others; remains flexible to differing viewpoints.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in translational immunology.
