ROLE SUMMARY
The Digital Manufacturing (DM) Team’s mission is to simplify processes and experiences to drive Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) outcomes. DM is responsible for the digital transformation of all processes across shop floor, quality control, quality assurance, engineering, environment, health, and safety operations. Our programs are led by user experience and design thinking to understand the journeys that our PGS customers are working through daily. DM leads a focus on innovative technology implementation across PGS sites including a digital lean production system, sensors, Industrial Internet of Things, wearables, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality solutions. DM drives efficiencies in end-to-end operations by embedding predictive and prescriptive insights from artificial intelligence into our manufacturing, quality and cross-functional applications. The Quality Control (QC) Solutions team within Digital Quality is responsible for the core solutions within the Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) Quality Control area. Through the lab of the future strategy, we are driving towards a fully integrated lab systems environment, where data is seamlessly communicated throughout the QC ecosystem (and beyond), duplicative transcription removed, and true release by exception with automated release can be realized while increasing compliance. Delivering on this strategy requires adjusting the technology landscape, strengthening our foundations, and bringing in new capabilities.
The Manager, QC Lab of the Future Solution Owner will be responsible to build & maintain the Lab of the Future (LotF) capabilities at the PGS plants, they will contribute to the lab of the future vision for PGS and assist in implementing the technical strategy & roadmap for moving Lab Ops towards this vision.
The colleague must have a good CI & innovative mindset and be comfortable taking appropriate risks to achieve desired results and assist in driving the adoption of new technologies and processes for Lab Ops.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager, QC Lab of the Future Solution Owner responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead solution ownership
Demonstrate agile ways of working
Maintain & prioritize user stories, enablers & defect backlog
Manage solution/project deliverables and timelines, including budget
Demonstrate and promote agile ways of working
Collaborate with the QC Solutions Integration & Engineer Lead to assess technology capabilities and architecture requirements
Collaborate and set expectations with business, scrum master and development team
Ensure work tasks are completed on schedule to a high quality standard & within configuration guidelines
Ability to train colleagues on innovative technologies and experiences
Continuously improve work processes
Ensure solutions are maintained in a compliant state in accordance to the GRC (Global Regulatory Compliance) and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) Guidelines for all software and tools as applicable.
Facilitate Project Governance for quality control
Facilitate Communities of Practice for quality control
Present value cases for proposed features to the business community & digital leadership
Oversee contract developers & testers ensuring their work meets configuration & quality standards.
Provide L4 technical support & deployment hypercare support for solution once in use at PGS sites.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s BS in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of technical / project experience in a Lab environment
Experience with Agile, (SAFe preferred)
Strong written and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders
Ability to train colleagues on innovative technologies and experiences
Working knowledge of object-oriented programming
Understanding of emerging QC laboratory technologies
Experience in all stages of system and application lifecycle from value analysis, business case development, solution deployment through value realization
Experience of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, documentation and releasing
An understanding of system GMP requirements and demonstrable knowledge of computer system design and maintenance lifecycle in GMP environments.
Strong experience in MS Office Products (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of financial management and procurement activities
