What You Will Achieve

This position is a Sterile Prep Operator / Assistant in the Injectable Sterile Prep organization of PGM. The incumbent will perform and learn basic techniques, processes, and operations. Work is performed in strict compliance with manufacturing standards and all regulatory requirements.

Responsible for completing all OJTs and tasks required to perform job duties, including documentation, computers, equipment, work practices within aseptic areas, and all Sterile Prep areas. Demonstrates ability to problem solve work-related issues properly, work with an appropriate level of independence, exercise good judgment/decision making, and effectively work with team members. All Leader Behaviors are reliably demonstrated at a "Consistently Met" level of performance.  Prior experience in the Aseptic Processing Area is a plus.  Must be able to complete and maintain aseptic gowning certification.

Working Primarily 2nd Shift (Weekend, Holiday, and Overtime may be required to meet business or customer needs).

How You Will Achieve It

  • Manage own time and professional development, be accountable for own results and begin to prioritize own workflow.
  • Responsible for the preparation and/or operation of various components, materials, equipment, and machines including, but not limited to any and/or all applicable components, materials, equipment, and machines in the assigned area(s).
  • Complete adherence to all plant safety and (current) Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} regulations to the highest.
  • Assist with diagnosis and troubleshooting activities and execute in-process quality inspections.
  • Ensure adequate inventory of parts and materials before initiating a production run.
  • Identify and seek to implement process and safety improvement and safely perform all tasks.
  • Participate in shift meetings, provide handoff information, and communicate with other units and shifts.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • High school diploma / general education degree (GED) plus either an

  • Associate's degree or six months of work experience (e.g. current or previous Pfizer colleague; Mfg, Pkg or Veterans/Military relevant experience) with demonstrated math and reading comprehension proficiency at a level that meets "Role" and/or "test" requirements.

  • Basic administrative and/or standardized, semi-skilled work routines; operation of non-complex technical and/or mechanical tools and equipment.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal leadership and accountability in day-to-day interactions with an operational focus on customer needs and process requirements is required.

Nice to Have

Considerable demonstrated skills in communicating (oral and written) effectively with diverse individuals/groups; facilitating trust and understanding; and developing, influencing, and managing work, employee, and customer relationships.

Job title and career path are based on experience.  Sterile Prep Operator is reserved for candidates who demonstrated proficiency in meeting all of the Sterile Prep Operator Assistant descriptions. Additional skill sets apply.  Sterile Prep Operator Assistant is an entry-level position with increasing responsibilities and a proven track record

  
 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Position involves extensive lifting, sitting, standing, walking, repetitive motion, flexibility, aseptic gowning, and routine weekend work.

Weekend, Holiday, and Daily Overtime may be required to meet business needs
