Job Description

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage internal stakeholders of customer facing activities to optimize Pfizer Oncology team’s customer engagement and ensure best customer facing medical activities as Oncolgy Japan team.

  • Responsible for strategic operation and process for all oncology Customer Facing (CF) Medical teams within Pfizer Oncology, including oncology CF Teams, asset MSR leads, and digital BOP group (new team names under BM3.3 to be confirmed).

  • The scope of this role includes pre- and post approved indications.

  • Responsible for oncology Japan metrics and analytics, the entire oncology Japan CF Medical activities and insights reports, Japan thechnology, Japan onbording and training, overall process documentation and improvements in Japan Oncology CF, and compliance.

Leadership: 

  • Lead all strategic operations and processes for all CF medical teams within Pfizer Oncology, including the 4 Oncology asset CF Medical Teams and the Health Data Analytics Specialist teams (need to confirm if the name of the relevant function is digital BPO group) consisting of pre- and post approved indications.

  • Lead, train, and coordinate with Compliance Champions.

  • Serve as Metrics and Analytics Lead for the Japan Oncology CF medical teams, leading the analyses of field data across all asset teams and driving report generation for MA leads, Team Leads, cross functional stakeholders, and Sr Management. 

  • Lead Customer Relationship-related system for all teams ensuring customization and usability relevant for the Japan Oncology BU. Serves as a “super user” for other relevant systems..

  • Lead, train and coordinate with Japan OneMed Champions.

  • Responsible for maintaining Business Rules for Japan Oncology CRM system (OneMed) and ensuring continued understanding by all teams.

  • Lead development of Japan Oncology CF Medical Activity and Insights Report (and similar insight reports), encompassing the analysis and synthesis of CF Medical insights across all teams, and leading a team  in the development of a summary report for dissemination to cross functional stakeholders and Sr Management.

  • Serve as Japan Technology Lead, driving the development and implementation of technology solutions for all CF medical teams.  Align with the Global Oncology Content and Education Team in the assessment and roll out of Global-driven solutions. 

  • Serve as interface for BT for CF Medical related systems and outside vendors to ensure optimal performance, consistent reporting, and efficiency for all CF Medical systems and any new systems or updates.

  • Serve as the CF Medical (non-therapeutic) Training Lead, responsible for organizing and executing continuous trainings of all teams on Japan Oncology-specific processes and topics such as Japan Oncology Compliance and Governance policies, Japan Oncology OneMed Business Rules, appropriate and accurate OneMed data entry and insight documentation, Japan Technology Solutions, as well as skill development related to enhancing CF Medical colleague performance.

  • Develop and maintain the CF Medical Onboarding Training plan ensuring relevance and alignment with Medical Affairs’ strategy. Collaborate with Team Leads to create customized training plans for new hires.

  • Oversee all Japan CF Medical processes and ensure consistency and enhancements where possible. 

  • Lead and facilitate MSR lead in the execution of key processes and initiatives for CF Medical.

  • Oversee Oncology Japan CF Medical budget for Japan specific technology and innovation initiatives. 

Strategy and Business Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of Group’s CF medical plans that are aligned with the respective Japan Medical Affairs’ plans for in-line and late stage product strategies and objectives.

  • May represent CF Medical on teams across Pfizer Japan or across BU for Medical-related Governance as requested.

  • Serve on CF Medical  and/or cross-functional, cross divisional and cross BU committees.

Operational Management:

  • Stay current on local regulations and guidance that impact interactions with and delivery of medical information to external healthcare professionals. 

  • Stay current on, anticipate, and adopts new digital technology, on-demand, and other related offerings that improve the efficiency of CF medical communications activities and/or enhance the overall medical customer experience.

  • Keep updated on scientific and medical literatures and developments within the designated therapeutic area.

  • Stay current on all relevant Pfizer SOPs and guidance documents.

  • Ensure team activities are conducted in compliance with both internal and external policies, guidelines and regulations.  Ensure compliance of team members with required responsibilities, including completion of assigned SOPs by stated deadlines. Partner with administrative professional staff to ensure effective administrative professional staff support is provided to the CF Medical team.

  • Ensure that communication and collaboration between Non-CF Medical team and CF Medical and other medical and commercial functions are effective, appropriate and compliant, and that the medical professionalism of the Oncology CF Medical function in the creation and implementation of its objectives and activities is maintained.

REQUIRED SKILL SET

  • Behavioral Skills: Understanding of compliance and related laws and high-level consciousness of observing them.

  • Technical Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills and self-awareness skills. Demonstrated ability to rapidly adopt and utilize new digital technology and other resources with medical customers and record medical interactions. Strong strategic, analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with flexibility and organizational awareness and align with business priorities and strategies. Must be decisive, exercise good judgment in decisions, be organized and equipped with the ability to prioritize a large workload. Ability to manage resources, programs and multiple projects.

  • Experience: Preferable to have experiences in Clinical Development and/or Medical Affairs in oncology area or equivalent experiences.

  • Education/Certification: Essential educational background: Bachelor's degree or higher (Preferably, medical science, nursing science, pharmaceutical science, biology, biochemistry, etc.)  Desirable educational background: Pharmacist, physician, or master’s degree in a science course (medical science, pharmaceutical science, biology, biochemistry, etc.), doctor’s degree, or nurse

  • Language: Abilities to accurately understand the contents of English scientific papers and academic conference presentations, and to discuss their gist.  TOEIC 730 or higher
