Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Postdoctoral Fellow to join Dr. Krishna Bhat's laboratory focused on brain tumor research. Our laboratory takes multipronged approaches to address areas of unmet need for brain tumors. The current position will focus on studying the fundamental mechanisms of radio-resistance of glioblastoma using both conventional biochemical and cell and molecular biology approaches with state-of art experimental techniques. Applicants must have a recent PhD in biochemistry, cell biology or genetics from a reputed University/Institute or current post-doc within 1-2 years of graduation. At least one first author publication in a peer reviewed journal stemming from PhD studies is required. A solid background in cancer biology and/or radiation biology is highly desirable. Salary is based on NIH NRSA levels. The candidate must also have the ability to coordinate multiple projects, believe in team science, as well as be passionate about a scientific career. The UT M. D.
