Job Description

In this position you will coordinate work associated with the LINAC, PAR, BOOSTER, ITS, and LEA (collectively known as the injector) accelerator enclosures. Work with ASD, AES, APS-U, and technical groups to define and implement improvements and to coordinate shutdown activities associated with injector systems. Develop operating procedures and techniques for personnel involved with accelerator operation. Work with accelerator physicists and software developers during machine studies periods. Provide training and technical support to control room shift personnel for injector systems.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of experience or equivalent
- Knowledge of APS accelerator techniques, with understanding of accelerator physics and engineering
- Knowledge of the APS safety systems, main control room functions, and administrative skills
