Summary

A postdoctoral position is available in Antony Rodriguez’s lab in the Department of Medicine to study the pathophysiology of microRNAs on lung tissue regeneration elicitation of COPD and interstitial pulmonary fibrosis. The Rodriguez lab is a laboratory focusing on systematically interrogating the role of let-7 on mRNA targeting in epithelial stem cells and immune cells and characterizing the scope, regulation, and function of let-7 in animal models of pulmonary fibrosis and COPD. The lab uses a variety of genetic knockout and transgenic mice, 3D organoid cultures, in vivo lineage tracing, confocal imaging, biochemical assays, epigenomics CUT&RUN, and AGO-eCLIP approaches to delineate the network of functional targets regulated by let-7 during lung tissue injury and disease. The ideal candidate should have experience or passion for molecular biology, miRNA biology, stem cells, and mouse genetics.
