Responsibilities*

As Michigan Medicine scopes construction and installation projects involving medical equipment installation, you'll represent the CE Team to the Health System, customers, vendors, as well as patients and families.
You will collaborate with internal groups like Facilities, Planning & Design and Campus Architecture, Engineering & Construction.
You'll attend regular project meetings, monitor progress and timelines.
Internally, you will work with CE managers and supervisors to coordinate CE support for projects, including labor, trades required, materials, vendors, delivery, and other resources.
With a high level of autonomy in addition to collaboration with the Director of Clinical Engineering, you will serve as the main CE point of contact for Investigational Review Board (IRB) functions.
Your responsibilities include completing the medical equipment section of the IRB application and ensuring necessary testing deadlines are met by assigned technician and communication to IRB owner. Additionally, you will handle and respond to all medical equipment hazard alerts and recall notifications. You'll also handle CE’s response to Patient Safety reports. Responsible for monitoring report status and coordinating with CE supervisors to ensure proper follow-up is completed. Documents CE’s responses in the RL reporting system.

Required Qualifications*

Previous experience running moderate to complex construction and/or medical equipment installation projects.
3 to 5 years working as a Biomedical Technician or in a similar role.
Valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications*

A formal degree in Project Management or certificate as a Project Manager, or a formal degree as a Clinical Engineer or certification as a Clinical Engineer 3 to 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Clinical Engineer or a Level 3 Biomedical Equipment Technician or Diagnostic Imaging Technician.
