What you’ll do:
- Work independently in collaboration with supervision of staff and faculty to design, express, test, and document novel lectin libraries; produce experimental documentation and raw data files; and serve as a resource for experimental setup troubleshooting.
- Order supplies, perform support activities and lab maintenance, and function in a team-oriented environment with other scientists and staff at the Institute as well as external collaborators.
- Participate in the preparation of manuscripts and patent applications.
- In collaboration with supervision of staff, present data and conclusions at meetings within the Wyss Institute.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.
Basic Qualifications
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering or other related fields is required.
- At least three years of experience involving aseptic mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques, including CRISPR, qPCR, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, nucleic acid purification, or related experience is required.
Working Conditions
This position will be based on our campus in Boston, MA and will require on-campus presence. Subject to business needs, the Wyss Institute generally supports flexible work arrangements.

What you'll need:
- Ability to work well independently and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary group is essential.
- Proficiency with personal computers and applicable software packages (Microsoft Office) is essential.
- Good written and oral communication skills are essential.
- The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to take initiative.
Additional Information
This is a two year term position with the possibility of renewal.
