Job Description

We invite you to apply for this job with the Financial Management and Procurement Services organization with Argonne National Laboratory.   The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive view of the company's data and analytics capabilities. The Analyst will work with managers, stakeholders, and IT personnel to design, develop, and implement advanced analytics and reporting solutions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong business acumen and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve complex business problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement reporting and analytics solutions to improve decision-making processes
  • Utilize data mining and statistical modeling techniques to identify patterns and trends in data
  • Design and develop dashboards and data visualizations to present data in meaningful and actionable ways
  • Analyze large datasets to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and other efficiency gains
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting and analytics requirements
  • Design and develop data models to support reporting and analytics
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses, data marts, and ETL processes
  • Monitor and audit performance of data warehouses and analytics systems
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data models, reports, and analytics
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and research to support decision-making

Position Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Math, Statistics or related field
  • Experience developing Power BI or equivalent business analysis reporting at Argonne National Labs
  • Experience working in a business intelligence/analytics role
  • Experience with data analysis, data visualization, and predictive analytics
  • Entry level knowledge in SQL, and proficient in Excel
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, and/or similar BI software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret data and draw insights
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
