Job Description

Summary

A research coordinator position is available in the USDA/ARS Children's Nutrition Research Center at Baylor College of Medicine. The individual will provide research coordination to a productive research program and interact with multiple team members and research participants. The candidate will follow established guidelines and support the PI and research team in coordination of research activities, will maintain regulatory documents and recruit research participants.

Job Duties

  • Provide principal investigator and the research team with support in planning and coordinating research activities
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Coordination of research activities and performance of metabolic studies and clinical trials
  • Responsible for recruitment of research participants, consenting and scheduling of research activities
  • Responsible for maintenance of research database
  • Coordination with nursing unit schedule to accommodate research needs of research participants
  • Familiarity with recruitment and consent of research participants
  • Submission of research protocols for regulatory agencies (IRB; research units)
  • Maintenance of regulatory binders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement
  • One year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Familiarity with REDCap
