Job Description
Summary:
The Mover Installation Technician is expert in skill and knowledge of modular systems furniture and is required to know product currently on-hand and available for reconfiguration. This position is responsible for estimating time necessary for individual tasks as well as completing moves, managing priorities and expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for set ups, moves and installations regarding office space (moving boxes, furniture, file cabinets, etc). Responds to work order requests for repair and service of furniture and casegoods
- Can identify finishes, colors and fabrics. Understands installation processes and procedures for correct application and assembly of products.
- Ensure that when an installation is complete, that all surfaces are level, wiped down and any metal or wood touch up required is complete.
- Coordinate with outside furniture dealers on larger installations. Responsible for follow up on all punch list items.
- Receive and deliver furniture products arriving at loading dock and complete any paperwork necessary upon receipt.
- Coordination with Facilities and IT on installations
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Minimum 2 years prior experience for a commercial furniture dealer, independent installation contractor, or in an In-House position working for an end-user.
- Must be able to read floor plans and installation drawings. Able to read a tape measure and understand basic dimensional code requirements and clearances, and measure a worksite prior to installation. Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Use of power and hand tools. Ability to work extended or flexible hours depending on facility needs.
- Basic working knowledge of a computer especially MS Office Excel and Outlook
- Valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
