Position Highlights:

The Security Supervisor is directly responsible for the supervision of all Security Officers and to assure that all department activities and assignments are designed and directed to make every attempt to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. A high degree of professionalism, visibility, and vigilance with emphasis on crime deterrence and prevention coupled with a guest relations-oriented attitude are mandatory job requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Security and Safety Department.
  • Professionally supervises, monitors, and coordinates the activities of Security Officers and their respective shifts, ensures that their activities and assignments achieve the Department goals.
  • Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff.
  • Provides a service-oriented department with major emphasis on crime deterrence and prevention.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Will possess or be willing to obtain International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification within ninety(90) days of hire

 Credentials and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
    • Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
  • 5 years security experience in a hospital setting with 3+ years in a supervisor or management position. Law enforcement, military service, or military police experience may be substituted on a one for one basis.
  • Must have a valid and maintain a current driver's license.
