Job Description

Job Summary
The Office of Research Information Systems is seeking a Software Developer. The Software Developer will provide a primary role in the development and support of research applications. The primary application, the Electronic Research Integrity & Compliance (ERICA) System, is developed from the Huron Click Research Suite for use in Conflict of Interest (COI) and Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Responsibilities
Designs, modifies, develops, writes, implements, troubleshoots, and debugs software programming applications.
Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (i.e., SQL, C#, HTML, and JavaScript).
Work on projects from analysis through development, testing, QA, and delivery.
Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
Works with a small team, composed of individuals of varying backgrounds (QA, BA, designers, developers), as part of a larger team to develop a large web application.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to accurately estimate effort to complete projects & meet deadlines.
Experience with SQL and working with XML and Web Services (SOAP).
Proficient with C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and a good knowledge of jQuery and Ajax.
Provide support for software applications.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Experience with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio
Experience with Server Maintenance
Huron experience a plus
