Job Description
The Digital Manufacturing Team is responsible for the delivery of Pfizer’s Core Digital Manufacturing Operations Management (MoM) capabilities at every level of the PGS Plant Network (ISA 95 Levels 0-4). These solutions are critical to Manufacturing Execution, Manufacturing Process Intelligence and Production Optimization that aim to improve product quality, increase asset utilization/uptime, automate manual workflows and streamline plant floor operations. The Digital Manufacturing Team provides common application platforms and solution capabilities for Digital Plant, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Execution, Manufacturing Insights and Digital Quality solutions, while ensuring a unified User Centric Design. Key to the success of this transformative digital mindset is the secure, seamless flow of contextualized data from the device & control levels, all the way to the top of the Enterprise. These solutions are deployed across more than fifty manufacturing & center locations across the PGS Globally. Major Core Solutions and team capabilities for the Manufacturing Operations Solutions Team include:
This group supports the design, development, delivery, and digitization of PGS Manufacturing and Engineering processes. Process Areas (Systems) include: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Enterprise Data Historians, Manufacturing Operations Solutions (Manufacturing Intelligence, Maintenance Mgmt & Calibration, Capital Mgmt, Permit to Work, Optimal Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)/Run Time Efficiency (RTE), Engineering systems) and Manufacturing Innovative Technologies such as Mixed Reality & Knowledge Management.
The Sr. Manager PGS BT Transformation plays a key role in delivering the future of Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities within the Digital Manufacturing Organization. The colleague will be responsible for creating solutions that execute, monitor and enhance the manufacturing process, while implementing cutting edge technology to augment and immerse shop floor colleagues with the insights they need to increase productivity and simplify their overall experience. You will be part of an exciting team that delivers best in industry solutions across Manufacturing.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr. Manager PGS BT Transformation colleague’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Scoping, developing, delivering and supporting systems across,
Major Core solutions: Enterpise Asset Management Solution (EAMS), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Work Center Performance Monitoring (WPM), Electronic Permit to Work (ePTW), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Enterprise Data Historian
Misc Engineering Apps not supported by Site Engineering or Managed Support Team
Design and implementation of the overall web architecture
“Pixel-perfect” implementation of our approved user interface
Design and deployment of our database
Ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability
Design and construction of REST APIs, microservices, etc.
Be a key member of your agile team; clarify requirements for user stories, estimate story points, self-organize and complete stories
Integrating our front-end UI with the constructed API
Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Technical Decommissioning Legacy Apps
Provide Technical GxP process support, while ensuring all solutions are complaint from an Audit and Change Management perspective.
Release Planning and Impact Assessment
Design, Dev/Config, Testing
Own DevOps & Continous Delivery Integration across all solutions
Deliver fully automation regression testing of major solutions for reduced testing time
Deployment Hypercare Support with Application Support
Disaster Recovery Planning
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required
3+ years of experience in various development roles
At least three years’ experience in developing complex applications for various business requirements using,
Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, or similar technologies
HTML, CSS
Microsoft SQL Server, PostGreSQL
SOAP / Web Services
Database design and management, including being up on the latest practices and associated versions
Experience in system integration
Familiarity with a relevant and globally supported framework—both front-end and back-end, if necessary
Thorough understanding of user experience and possibly even product strategy
Appreciation for clean and well documented code Ability to work across multiple concurrent activities and successfully adapt to changing priorities as required.
Strong process and procedure skills, most particularly regarding System Development Lifecycle, functional enhancement governance, and stakeholder management – Required
Experience in managing Digital L4 support queues and adhering to defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
Strong experience in MS Office Products (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Ability to work in ambiguous situations
Demonstrated skills in analysis and problem solving
Ability to work across multiple concurrent activities and successfully adapt to changing priorities as required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in all lifecycle phases of managing SaaS/cloud-based solutions required.
A thorough understanding of system GMP requirements and demonstrable knowledge of computer system design and maintenance lifecycle in GMP environments.
Experience with Agile Software Delivery and/or Scrum Master Certification a plus;
