Job Description
JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of assigned supervisor this position will be responsible for managing and maintaining our REDCap application designed for research studies and to ensure it is functioning smoothly and efficiently.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installs and configure assigned projects to meet specific study requirements.
Train and provide ongoing support to users, including researchers, coordinators, and other study personnel.
Troubleshoots and resolve any issues or problems, and work with appropriate parties as necessary.
Manages user accounts and permissions to ensure that only authorized users have access to data.
Develops and implements data security measures to protect sensitive data.
Informs users of new features and capabilities and suggest improvements to enhance usability and functionality.
Collaborates with study teams to ensure accurate and complete data collected.
Monitors usage and performance, and generate reports and analytics as needed.
Builds and maintains Extract Transform and Load (ETL) data pipelines and overall data architecture to accommodate a growing amount of data from a variety of large healthcare data sources.
Examine and master terabytes of healthcare related information stored in a relational database, leveraging SQL skills and other data extraction and manipulation tools.
Performs other duties as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience to equal nine (9) years. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of REDCap project development and design.
Skills applying data analytics, data visualization and business intelligence principles.
File management and transfer in a multi-OS environment – Windows and Linux Knowledge and skills with healthcare data including patient, provider, and payer
Experienced in designing and writing SQL queries to extract data and generate reports for end-users.
Ability to perform SQL manipulation, index and query optimization working with multi-terabyte datasets in relational DBMS’s.
Knowledge with MS Office applications.
Knowledge of PHI and HIPAA regulations, and the general protection of patient data and privacy
Knowledge and skills with data automation, integration, and sharing frameworks.
Ability to collaborate with researchers to understand their data management needs and requirements, and provide guidance and support in data organization, documentation, and analysis.
WORK SCHEDULE: This position may be required to travel to various campuses throughout the state and be amenable to occasional working evenings and weekends.
