Posting Summary
Support the present and expanding biomedical technology needs by utilizing engineering and equipment management skills in order to improve and advance patient care. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to manage and optimize the medical device inventory including, but not limited to, those requiring system design, networking and/or integration.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s in biomedical or related engineering field with life science coursework and two year full time internship or one-year organizational clinical engineering experience required.In-depth knowledge of information technologies as they relate to networking, integration, and interoperability of clinical technologies. Demonstrated understanding of biomedical and systems engineering principles and project management methodology. Experience with PC software; use of electronic and mechanical test equipment required. Effective communication skills required. Ability to travel to client worksites.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience as an engineer working with clinical technology in healthcare desirable.
Certification as a clinical engineer, cybersecurity professional or network administrator or ability to obtain within two years desirable.
