About the Position: In this position you will work with Tuck IT and students to get their computers set up for the upcoming school year. You will also work with staff and faculty on their IT issues. Hours will fluctuate and could include some overtime. We expect this temporary assignment to continue through part of the fall term, possibly ending in September 2023. This is a fully on-campus position with no option to work remotely.
Position Purpose
Assists IT Help Desk team with relocating and setting-up computers, monitors, and peripherals for Tuck faculty and staff.
Required Qualifications
Experience, training, and/or certifications in supporting at least one operating system platform (Mac OS or Windows).
Able to provide logical and effective equipment and software troubleshooting. Self-motivated and able to work independently and diligently with limited direct supervision.
Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of faculty, staff, and fellow IT colleagues with an even-tempered, enthusiastic, empathetic, and approachable attitude. Diplomatic and calm in stressful situations, and yet exhibiting an appropriate sense of urgency.

Key Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities
Disassembles faculty and staff computer workstations and prepares computers, monitors, and peripherals (mouse, keyboard, docking station, printer, etc.) for moving to new workspaces. Transports equipment to new campus workspaces as directed, requiring some lifting of heavy objects. Reassembles computer workstations in new location, making set-up adjustments according to workspace floor plan and the user’s specifications.
Assists IT Help Desk team with other tasks as needed, including responding to telephone, e-mail, and walk-in requests for IT support services; setting-up computing hardware and peripheral devices in offices, classrooms, and public areas; performing routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and initial troubleshooting of equipment. Maintains accurate call tracking and inventory records for computing equipment and supplies.
Participates in IT activities and training events during Tuck Launch, the school’s orientation period for new students in August.
May provide back-up audio/visual classroom technical support.
