The GAV HTA, Value and Evidence team is responsible for ensuring patients have affordable, timely access to medicines and vaccines by advancing innovative value and evidence solutions — to inform healthcare decision-making. We are expanding the HV&E team with new Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) role to support the HV&E team to create, accelerate, and scale novel solutions and capabilities across GAV to address current and future patient access challenges.

The Senior Project Manager is a part of the HV&E Leadership team and supports the HV&E leadership team with project management, including planning, implementation and facilitation, project /budget tracking, stewardship and communication of various initiatives for the HV&E team as follows:

  • HV&E Methods & Innovation projects, HV&E technical & functional excellence,

  • HV&E training and capabilities programs,

  • Maintenance of HV&E tools, dashboards, & templates via digital platform,

  • Vendor & alliance management, coordination of internal/external meetings and engagements,

  • Operations planning, SOPs, processes, compliance requirements, best practices sharing,

  • Other projects as assigned.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to support senior business professionals while displaying sound judgment and discretion to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES.

The role will require strong organizational skills, research skills, travel & meeting planning skills, and the ability to solve problems. This position requires an experienced and forward-thinking individual who has the necessary technical skills and change agility to work in a fast-paced. The key responsibilities for the HTA, Value & Evidence Sr. Project Manager are as follows:

  • Provides program support to accelerate execution of clinically relevant and scientifically valid, HEOR studies and projects in alignment with the HV&E function, including but not limited to, HV&E Strategic roadmap, HV&E Methods and Innovation strategy, HV&E Technical and Functional Excellence, and other GAV initiatives/project work, as needed.
  • Manages planning, implementation and facilitation, project /budget tracking, stewardship and communication of various initiatives for the HV&E function
  • Provides, contributes, and obtains data, inputs, and insights to enrich HV&E strategic initiatives, operations planning, program execution and decision-making processes
  • Manages communications, includes capture, triage and dissemination of project related meeting agenda, discussion materials, minutes, decisions and deliberations
  • Ensures programs and initiatives are delivered on project budget and timelines
  • Partners with administrative specialists to support to the HV&E leadership team workflow and tasks as needed, including planning, logistics and operational delivery of internal/ external engagements
  • Prepare reports as necessary including expense and staffing reports as required (e.g. budgets, headcount) and provide analysis.
  • Creates and edits presentations and memoranda, including engaging others (and potentially professional creative solutions teams) to achieve objectives.
  • Responsible for maintaining key documents in source systems / platforms e.g. Teams account and user access.
  • Support maintenance HV&E digital hub for resources (i.e., tools, templates, trainings, standards, best practices, etc.)
  • Actively contributes to developing or testing innovative tools, dashboards, and processes within HV&E and GAV
  • Support development, and maintenance HV&E websites and/or processes for collecting and distributing HV&E materials (training &/or capabilities resources) and liaise with the GAV teams to foster continuous expansion of team capabilities
  • Support development, implementation and maintenance of SOPS, processes, compliance requirements, best practice sharing and adoption
  • Coordinate the communities of practice, contributing to selection of highly-relevant content, developing the agendas, procuring speakers, developing materials, for quarterly/bi-annual meetings.
  • Partner seamlessly with colleagues in and out of GAV, both in global and the markets, engage with end-users to gather feedback and ensure that needs and opportunities are understood, and the HV&E tools and processes are fit-for-purpose, creating value, and simple to use as possible.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; master’s is preferred

  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience (with BA/BS) in healthcare environment, sufficient to have developed an understanding of project management of health economics initiatives and the global payer and market access environment.

Required skills and competencies:

  • Highly developed project management skills – direct experience in project management; demonstrated ability and skills to seamlessly plan and manage large projects

  • Strong evidence of leadership and ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, in teams &/or independently.

  • Strong ability to prioritize, be flexible and deal with significant complexity

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills

  • Administration & systems knowledge, organized and proactive

  • Strong interpersonal, cross-functional working, networking and collaboration skills, with proven ability to influence, drive change and develop strong partnerships across functions

  • Strong customer-orientation; an ability to see issues from the point of view of others

  • Experience in creating and/or using various tools and processes associated with the practice of health economics and market access, preferred

  • Intellectual curiosity and a continual learner, able to identify important developments in academia or industry that should be brought to Pfizer

  • Travel for work with appropriate internal and external stakeholders in the US and/or internationally (10% to 20% depending upon need)

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. * The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $105,500.00 to $175,900.00.
