Technician will be expected to carry out experiments designed by the principal investigator and research associates in the Gill Center for Biomolecular Science. Research projects in the lab focus on the endogenous cannabinoid system and its role in health and disease. The technician will also be responsible for routine lab maintenance.
This position will be supported by research grant 4690981 CS015.
Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
Ability to work independently. Organizational skills. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
Experience in a neuroscience laboratory setting.
Working Conditions / Demands
Position requires standing, sitting, bending, and some lifting. Mental concentration is required to analyze results and maintain technical accuracy. Visual strain can occur if extended time is spent using a microscope. Certain experiments require accurate timing. There is potential exposure to animal allergens.
