Job DescriptionOne postdoctoral position is available in the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI) at the University of California, San Francisco, to study Salt-inducible kinases (SIKs) signaling in energy homeostasis. The laboratory of Dr. Biao Wang takes an integrative approach to study transcriptional mechanisms of energy homeostasis. The postdoc will independently conduct experiments to determine regulatory roles of SIKs and their relevant substrates in insulin-sensitive tissues including but not limited to liver, adipose and muscle. The postdoc should be familiar with various molecular and cellular techniques, and in vivo animal studies.
Requirements: Candidates must have received a recent M.D. or Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have one or more publications in peer-reviewed journals. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with others with diverse areas of expertise within UCSF campus.
