Job DescriptionPosition Highlights University Information Technology Services (UITS) within University of Arizona is seeking qualified Business Analyst to perform as a Lead BA for our Research Compliance initiative to implement a new System for UArizona’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Conflict of Interest (COI)/ Conflict of Commitment (COC). Additionally, this position will configure and manage DocuWare cabinets, train users and support the Contract Information DocuWare system.

UITS is a $60M organization of approximately 300 employees responsible for providing enterprise network, telecommunications, computing, and data services to the University of Arizona. UITS offers a broad array of services to the university community ranging from deploying and managing the campus’ wired and wireless networks to stewardship of the administrative applications that support the HR, payroll, finance, and student lifecycle management activities of the institution. Also, UITS recently unveiled its next-generation high performance computing environment to support the computationally intensive needs of UA research faculty.
Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate and collaborate with campus stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their problems and needs.
Gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements.
Solve business problems.
Write and execute test scripts.
Assist with and train end users.
Provide support for system end users and departments/colleges.
Analyze and improve processes.
Configure and manage DocuWare Contract Information cabinets.
Maintain the Contract Information initiative communication.
Work with Contract Information Governance to prioritize change requests.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is typically required.
Business analysis for an enterprise system.
Tool administration (such as configuration of DocuWare, SharePoint, Jira).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication, facilitation and analysis skills.
Extensive business analysis, and test, and knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts.
Knowledge of broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.
Ability to manage small projects.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Research administration compliance applications including IRB and / or COI/COC.
DocuWare knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts. DocuWare skills including ability to create new cabinets, configure index fields, permissions, and workflow.
Experience maintaining communication pages using Confluence or SharePoint.
Advanced excel skills including v-lookup and pivot tables.
