sunapsis is an IU developed application used system-wide at IU and is also being licensed by a growing number of other institutions of higher education. sunapsis consists of three modules: international admissions, international student and scholar immigration compliance, and study abroad. Job Summary
Provide research, data analysis, reporting, and software support to the Office of International Services (OIS) and on behalf of its auxiliary unit, sunapsis. Provide daily analysis and reporting to track the performance of the UA-OIS and IUPUI Office of International Affairs ongoing and seasonal operations across a wide range of metrics and various ad-hoc reports as requested. Serve as a first point of contact for all IU sunapsis users and non-IU clients, assisting the sunapsis Client Relations Manager with all aspects of support. This includes, but is not limited to: maintaining regular office hours to analyze and assist system users with both technical and business operations of the system; maintaining written technical and end-user manuals; providing online and in-person training as needed to users both at IU and client institutions; assisting with initial technical installation and operational implementation of sunapsis at client institutions; testing various system actions on test servers; and assisting with the delivery and implementation of test plans for new product releases and updates.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.

Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.

Foundational understanding of IT concepts such as networking, relational databases (MS SQL, MS Access), and web-scripting languages (ColdFusion, PHP). Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide audience of clients and users. Ability to meet regular deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
Two years of experience with customer support or technical support. Office experience in a higher education setting or working with Tableau. Experience within a university setting, with reporting duties and progressively increasing levels of responsibility. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows XP+; Mac experience; proficiency in intermediate computing skills; comfortable editing settings in the Control Panel, installing/uninstalling programs, and other similar tasks. Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Working Conditions / Demands
May require domestic travel, potentially as many as 6-8 trips per year.
