Applicants interested in drug discovery projects aimed at validating novel anti-diabetic and anti-cancer GPCR drug targets and developing agents to modulate these receptors are encouraged to apply.

Our laboratory is focused on investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying the regulation, trafficking, and activation of GPCRs involved in Metabolic disorders, and Cancer; with the goal of  identifying novel, tractable, anti-diabetes and anti-cancer GPCR drug targets, developing selective molecular probes of these targets and, where possible, optimizing these probes to generate in vivo lead molecules for testing in pre-clinical models, ultimately translating these findings into diabetes and cancer clinical trials.

Position Highlights:
•    The position is for a Postdoctoral fellow to join a multidisciplinary team to interrogate GPCR signal transduction pathways relating to diabetes, obesity and cancer aimed at identifying novel, tractable drug targets for the treatment of these diseases, and to contribute to our understanding of the metabolic disorder-cancer relationship.
•    Opportunity to gain drug discovery experience in collaboration with world-class clinical and basic science faculty.

The Ideal Candidate:
Successful cancdidates will have a strong background in signal transduction with a keen interest in drug discovery research.
