The Administratrative Specialist will provide support to the Associate Director of Post-Professional Clinical Professional Development (DPT, Bridge and Continuing Professional Development) and the Associate Director for the PHD in PT, which includes coordination of post-professional online programs for domestic and international students.
This position will report directly to the Physical Therapy Office Manager.
Coordinate online orientation for domestic and international post-professional physical therapy students with CHS, ITS, OEL and PT Department.
Assess the current technological infrastructure for each student and advise upgrades needed for University compatibility
Collaborate with ITS and OEL to facilitate resolution of technological issues for domestic and international students
Collaborate with ITS and OEL to review software and processes to ensure efficient and effective online learning and synchronous meetings for online students;
Coordinate with ITS and OEL for technological needs for faculty and students
Arrange for faculty access in Blackboard and PT server; assist faculty in resolving computer issues and processes for online learning
Manage online portal for continuing professional development courses.
Coordinate admissions process with Graduate Programs
Review international and domestic applications and other required/supporting documentation such as transcripts, PTET, credential review, license verification and letters of recommendations
Monitor submission of required documentation (e.g. compliance and release of information.
Educational Plan Development
Develop, monitor and modify educational learning plans
Develop remediation plans for students who are on academic Program Assessment
Develop and implement a comprehensive assessment plan of post-professional programs.
Prepare and disseminate annual and other reports based on results of assessment
Serve as the student services coordinator for post-professional programs
Screen, triage and direct incoming inquiries from potential and current students.
Provide administrative support in all areas related to student services including correspondence noting important due dates, academic calendar dates, University services, Department Convocation, and graduation preparation communication.
Provide support for ongoing projects, including background data collection
Schedule, attend and take minutes for program meetings and all appropriate committees.
Serve as an informational resource to students and faculty regarding University policies and available scholarships and awards.
