Job Description

Position Highlights:

  • The PEx Service Design group partners with leadership to facilitate initiatives that align with the strategic plan and deliver value in all areas of the organization spanning the clinical, research and administrative divisions.  

  • The Sr. Process Excellence Coach is a key role in the organization responsible for all aspects of the process improvement life-cycle including but not limited to facilitating, leading, training & coaching teams through solution and service design utilizing Lean, Design Thinking, and Agile tools and methodologies for assigned strategic initiatives and value-streams which can be smaller to larger scoped.  The Sr. Coach role is expected to utilize their expertise to align all improvement designs with the customer/user journey vision, needs and identified efficiencies.

  • It is important that they can quickly see the big picture, understand project objectives and be able to apply their understanding of how processes should work to lead operational improvement initiatives. The Sr. coach must thrive on team collaboration and be inquisitive by nature – driving structure, problem-solving and solutions from ambiguity, and have a strong Sr. Leadership communication style and presence.

The Ideal Candidate will have

  • High proficiency level of all LEAN tools and techniques (knowing how to use the tools in different circumstances). 
  • Some project management experience required 
  • Design Thinking Certification and Lean Certification
  • Excellent organizational, relationship building and influencing skills, which is demonstrated by proven success at working both independently and in a collaborative environment. 
  • Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications, i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, etc. required.
  • Leadership ability to see the big picture without losing attention to detail and strong relationship management skills with the ability to handle conflict and negotiations.

Credentials and Qualifications:

·     Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Business  Administration, Operations Management, Health Administration, Organizational Psychology, Industrial Engineering or related field required.

·     A minimum of four (4) years of process improvement facilitation experience; and

·     A minimum of two (2) years’ experience (may be inclusive of other experience) facilitating Lean and/or design thinking concepts and techniques (current state to future state mapping, solution design, prioritizing, value-stream mapping, customer journey mapping, service design blueprints) is requried.
