The Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory seeks a postdoctoral appointee to conduct scientific research at the frontier of low-level system software for HPC systems and application users, in areas such as node-level resource management, heterogeneous memory management, and power management.
A recent PhD is required for this role, completed within the last 3 years, or soon-to-be completed. Significant programming experience is required; in particular, expertise in C or C++ and Linux/Unix programming environment. Strong skills in one or more of the following areas: scheduling, performance modeling/evaluation, and machine learning. Strong familiarity with one of the following areas: operating systems, runtime systems, programming models, resource management, memory management, and power management. Desirable skills include a working knowledge of Fortran and Python and familiarity with parallel programming using MPI and OpenMP The application must include a curriculum vita; list of publications, abstracts, and significant presentations; and the names and addresses of three references, other than Argonne staff, who can attest to the candidate's ability and potential.
