A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Toren Finkel, Director of the Aging Institute, University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine/UPMC. The focus of the lab is on the role of mitochondria and metabolism in aging (see Finkel, T, Nat Med, 2015 and Sun et al., Mol Cell, 2016). Ongoing projects include genetic and physiological dissection of mitochondrial calcium (see Pan et al., NCB, 2013; Liu et al., Cell Reports, 2016), regulation of mitophagy (see Sun et al., Mol Cell, 2015; Sun et al., Nat Protoc., 2017) and vascular autophagy/aging (see Torisu et al., Nat Med, 2013). Qualifications or Expectations:

• Must have a recently awarded Ph.D. degree (within the last five years), MD degree (within the last ten years), or equivalent doctorate degree (e.g., ScD, DVM, etc.) upon initial appointment at the University of Pittsburgh and University of Pittsburgh Postdoctoral Associate guidelines apply.
