Job Description

Summary

The Research Dietitian will participate in the pediatric research project to investigate the use of a low FODMAP diet on symptoms in children with functional abdominal pain disorders. Individual will work remotely and be responsible for doing fidelity checks on food diaries, analyze food diaries, participate in weekly lab meetings with research personnel, and teach FODMAP treatment sessions to research participants. 

Job Duties

  • Works remotely 2-3 hours per week. 
  • Performs fidelity checks on food diaries.
  • Analyzes food diaries.
  • Participates in weekly lab meetings with research personnel.
  • Teaches FODMAP treatment sessions to research participants.
  • Participates in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Assists in manuscript preparation and review.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • One year of relevant experience.
  • Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree or Ph.D. in related field.
  • Five or more years of research dietitian experience including direct interaction with study participants.
  • Previous research publications in pediatric nutrition.
  • Licensed Dietitian by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).
