Job Description

Summary

MCB faculty Dr. Stacy Lloyd whose research focuses prostate cancer disparities is seeking a laboratory technician I to support  the research mission of the department. The technician will assist in the development of a new research project that will explore the role of aberrant wound healing and biology of prostate cancer. The technician will perform laboratory, library, field, computer, or other such activities as to assist the department's research effort.

Job Duties

  • Follows established procedures, under immediate supervision.
  • Performs routine duties that require decision-making.
  • Assists in the development of a new research project that will explore the role of aberrant wound healing and biology of prostate cancer.
  • Performs laboratory, library, field, computer, or other activities as to assist the department's research effort.
  • Types routine assays, prepares media, solutions, general lab experiment. Schedules appointments. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Has mechanics and methods of a specific position by having previous training or work experience.
