ROLE SUMMARY

The Digital Manufacturing Team is responsible for the delivery of Pfizer’s Core Digital Manufacturing Operations Management (MoM) capabilities at every level of the Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) Plant Network (ISA 95 Levels 0-4). These solutions are critical to Manufacturing & Lab Execution, Manufacturing Process Intelligence and Production Optimization that aim to improve product quality, increase asset utilization/uptime, automate manual workflows, and streamline plant floor operations. The Digital Manufacturing vision is to “Simplify processes and experiences to drive PGS outcomes”.

The Manufacturing 4.0 (M4.0) Team supports all of Pfizer’s Core Manufacturing & Engineering Solutions, while enabling a secure, seamless flow of contextualized data from the device & control levels, all the way to the top of the Enterprise. Our goal is to create persona driven, connected experiences across our shop floors to predict and optimize operations, while providing real-time insights to operators. The Manager, Smart Factory Knowledge Management Product Owner will be responsible for leading the Digital Enablement of Knowledge Management capabilities Globally, aimed at delivering significant value to PGS.  They will deliver efficient and innovative access to critical operations knowledge for manufacturing colleagues by improving colleague’s efficiency and accuracy of Knowledge Search. Advanced techniques such as Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, enable colleagues to capture tacit knowledge in a compliant way and present knowledge in new ways through Augmented Reality. The colleague will align with Global Business partners to ensure collaboration through across R&D and Manufacturing.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager, Smart Factory Knowledge Management Product Owner  colleague’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Own all technical and software development across :

  • Core Solutions: Knowledge Management Tools, Expert Capture (AR Guided Work Instructions), Custom Web Apps for Tacit Knowledge & Expert Advice
  • Key Technology Focus: Augmented Reality, Enterprise Search, Wearables
  • Ensure proper Systems Development Lifecycle Management (e.g. GMP Regulatory Compliance (GRC), Agile Development Lifecycle)
  • Change Management
  • Decommissioning Legacy Apps
  • Release Planning and Impact Assessment
  • User Acceptance Testing
  • Deployment & Hypercare Support
  • Reporting Strategy
  • Training Material Development
  • Vendor Support Escalation
  • Solution Roadmap & Governance
  • Support Planning & Portfolio Management with:
    • Budget & Forecasting
    • Demand Mgmt & Resource Procurement (SOWs, DocuSign, Ariba, SAP)
    • Funding Requests, Business Case, and CPA
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across PGS, Digital and Strategic Partners

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 5 years related work experience
  • Experience in all stages of system and application lifecycle from value analysis, business case development, solution deployment through value realization and system retirement is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to work across multiple concurrent activities and successfully adapt to changing priorities as required.
  • Strong process and procedure skills, most particularly regarding System Development Lifecycle, functional enhancement governance, and stakeholder management – Required
  • Experience in all lifecycle phases of managing SaaS/cloud-based solutions required.
  • Strong experience in MS Office Products (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Knowledge of SDLC/ADLC/ELC/GRC and project management processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of Mixed Reality, Internet of Things, Wearables, and other smart factory technologies
  • PMI  / Agile Product Owner
  • Scrum Master Experience
  • Experience in a Global Solution Development environment, involving deployment of complex, integrated enterprise systems for manufacturing.
