The Customer and Commercial Creation Centre team creates comprehensive technology solutions for our external customers.  This includes all digital (web, mobile, omni-channel, & devices) products, platforms, services and experiences in service of: Healthcare Professionals (HCP), Patients and Caregivers, and other stakeholders in the healthcare system.

HCP Services and Solutions teams within the Customer and Commercial Creation Center are driven to ensure that every healthcare professional is given easy access to the information and tools they need to manage the best possible outcome.  Opportunities exist in many disciplines including web, mobile, artificial intelligence, and the electronic medical record (EMR) space to empower our Healthcare Professionals through seamless user experiences.

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Senior Associate Developer you will be responsible for delivering high quality software and solutions.  This role requires strong collaboration across the team of other engineers, analysts, user experience and managers.  It also requires the ability to work independently with a focus on high quality deliverables and a strong sense of accountability.  It will also require a desire for continuous learning and staying current with the rapidly evolving technology landscape.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain and improve new and existing software solutions
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers and team leaders to become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
  • Deliver high quality code and solutions with a strong sense of accountability
  • Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues

BEHAVIOURS AND CAPABILITIES

  • An understanding of Agile software development and comfort working in an environment where change and reprioritization occurs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • MINIMUM: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and relevant technical experience with emphasis on software development and maintenance.
  • 2+ years’ experience in web and software development using basic web technologies, such as REST APIs, HTML, CSS and Javascript

We are looking for a mix of front-end / back-end or full-stack developers/engineers. We will be looking for the ability to code with some of the following.

  • EITHER front-end experience with modern frameworks such as Angular.js, Vue.js, Ionic, Node.js
  • OR back end experience with frameworks such as PHP, Python, Laravel, Symfony
  • OR candidates with a mix of the above

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the Pharma industry
  • Experience with AWS and demonstrated understanding of cloud application architectures. (We heavily leverage AWS and experience of its services and how to use them is a definite bonus)
  • Experience in modern software development practices including distributed versioning systems, continuous integration/deployment, automated testing (DevOps)
  • Experience of working with Agile development practices
