What You Will Achieve
Accountable for developing, implementing, supporting, and administrating automation, control and historian software applications within both API and Drug Product manufacturing environments. Work includes programming, testing, debugging and installation of new applications within a cGMP environment, as well as assisting with start-up preparation and support. Works under the guidance of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Small Molecule (PSSM) Automation Lead
How You Will Achieve It
Eager to learn the skills required to:
Implement and/or manage software projects to enhance capabilities of the automation systems to meet the needs of PSSM, as additional unit operations, projects and facilities are evolved.
Implement and/or manage software projects to improve the visibility of automation data, collaborating with other sites and Pfizer Global Supply to ensure common approaches.
Support production start-ups by assisting with recipe configuration and process graphic configuration
Oversight of system administration and system maintenance activities.
Support automation architecture related to process analytical technology and advanced process control.
Implement and/or manage software projects to integrate automation data with other systems such as Lab Execution Systems.
Collaborate with third parties to delivery on automation needs.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Relevant BS degree (e.g., Chemical Engineering or Computer Science) with 2 or more years of experience
Nice-to-Have
Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes.
Desire to apply skills to automating chemical processes
Experience implementing an automation project
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must be physically capable of working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility and development laboratory.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
This role may require international travel.
