Job Summary
Under limited supervision, the Administrative Information Systems Manager is responsible for coordinating the support and on-going operation of the College’s administrative information systems, including system manager support for Ellucian products (Student Information Systems, Finance, Financial Aid, and Human Resources) as-well-as Workday, and other related third party systems.
Essential Functions
System Management: Responsible for the administration, support, and daily operations of various Linux/Windows operating systems including user account maintenance; operating system management; upgrades of operating systems, layered and application software, system security, and system tuning.
Leasing System Management: Responsible to plan and coordinate Oracle patch cycles with the assistance of an outside Oracle DBA. Maintain currency of Ellucian’s software releases by assessing the need and priority for each release with department directors, coordinating a schedule for upgrades with supporting vendors, and identifying and resolving problems resulting from the upgrades. Monitor the 3rd party and Ellucian sub-systems by coordinating upgrades with the vendor and identifying and resolving problems resulting from the upgrades. Along with Banner/Oracle, must also help in the transition and maintenance of Workday.
IT Design, Support and Implementation: Provide reliable and effective enhancements to the College’s information systems by studying user requirements, conferring with others, recommending changes in the information systems database, studying project requirements, and leading project development efforts. Modify existing application systems and develop additional systems by discussing goals, objectives, options, and capabilities and then providing evaluations of technical alternatives, system analysis and program design, and the creation and implementation of system solutions.
IT Liaison: Contribute to the Information Technology team effort by working with staff concerning system and software issues, sharing information with staff members and participating in projects as required. Provide support for administrative departmental client-server applications.

Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field AND/OR Five (5) years of experience is preferred. Technical knowledge in analysis, design, specification development, enhancement, maintenance, and implementation of complex application systems written in a database language is preferred. Experience with scripting languages and relational databases or cloud base ERP systems is highly desirable. Candidates should have the ability to think creatively and logically, as well as to handle multiple priorities, resolve problems, identify tasks, and develop modular programs. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technology quickly with strong technical support skills. Familiarity with Ellucian systems is required. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and convey computing concepts effectively to non-technical users.

Physical Demands
Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 30 lbs.

SCHEDULE DETAILS:
Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required
