The Program in Chemistry in the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), invites applications for an open rank, tenure-track/tenured faculty position in all areas of materials science (with a preference to candidates with a background in applications of materials) or chemical biology (broadly defined).
 
Faculty in the Program in Chemistry contribute to the multidisciplinary research at NYU Abu Dhabi that is a signature of the institution’s liberal arts concept. Candidates are expected to be outstanding scholars with exceptional productivity in their fields or with potential as team leaders, and to act as inspirational teachers and mentors to undergraduate and graduate students, which is a hallmark of the University’s mission.
 
NYU Abu Dhabi is located on Saadiyat Island, the cultural centerpiece of Abu Dhabi. The Center for Research Computing (CRC) provides high-performance computing facilities and support for application hosting, data management and storage, big data, artificial intelligence (AI), file transfer, and other activities through the Linux cluster “Jubail” comprising 28,000 computing nodes.

Qualifications
This position requires a Ph.D. in Chemistry.

Shortlisted candidates are expected to be invited for campus visits in Abu Dhabi and New York in early Spring 2023. We anticipate that successful candidates can start the appointment and relocate to Abu Dhabi in the academic year 2023-2024 but later start dates are possible.
