Job Description
Summary
The department is looking for a motivated and responsible technician to provide technical assistance for research team and lab maintenance. The technician should be highly organized and detail oriented. The lab provides an interactive and stimulating environment and opportunities for growth. The technician is expected to perform assays that includes mouse husbandry, genotyping, real time RT-PCR, Western blotting, cell culture, etc.
Job Duties
- Works with mice.
- Collects, analyzes and appropriately documents experimental results.
- Performs assays that includes mouse husbandry, genotyping, real time RT-PCR, Western blotting, cell culture, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in mouse husbandry and molecular cloning is a plus.
- Has excellent time management and organizational skills.
