Job Description
The University of Oklahoma (OU) seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in the MIS division starting in the Fall of 2023. Our strong programs in the MIS division build on a history of excellence, distinguished faculty members, and an active industry partnership. The division offers an undergraduate major and minor in MIS, graduate in-person and online programs focused on Business Analytics, and a Ph.D. degree. It operates the Center for MIS Studies (CMISS), an industry-academic partnership through which faculty and business partners collaborate on research and curriculum development. The division has an active MIS Student Association, provides sizable student scholarships annually, and enjoys strong support from the university and industry partners. Faculty members are world-renowned, engaged in thriving research programs, generate external research funding, hold leadership positions in leading journals and conferences, and are outstanding teachers. Many opportunities exist for professional growth and recognition as MIS faculty and member of OU’s Michael F. Price College of Business.

Candidates must have an earned PhD in MIS or related disciplines and must have an established record of excellence in research and teaching. Preference will be given to applicants whose research interests align well with the division’s areas of research and whose teaching abilities include online undergraduate and graduate courses. Salary is competitive and will depend upon qualifications.
