Job Details Post-doctoral positions in cancer developmental therapeutics
The Cancer Center of the TTUHSC School of Medicine ( has positions open for outstanding postdoctoral fellows in the field of cancer developmental therapeutics. Projects currently recruiting for fellows are studying novel approaches to targeting c-MYC (PI: Min Kang, PharmD) and developing new approaches to treat alternate lengthening of telomere (ALT) cancers (PI: C Patrick Reynolds, MD PhD). Cancer center faculty carry out translational and clinical research in cancer drug development and are funded by grants from the Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), the National Cancer Institute, Department of Defense, and foundations. The Cancer Center has core resource labs for pharmacology, cancer animal models, a robust cancer biobank, and an early-phase clinical trial consortium ( The Children’s Oncology Group Childhood Cancer Repository ( located at TTUHSC establishes, banks, and provides patient-derived cell lines and xenografts to investigators in 30 countries. CPRIT has awarded a Texas Regional Excellence in Cancer Research (TREC) grant to TTUHSC which provides multiple core resources and supports recruiting multiple junior faculty. Applicants must have a terminal degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MD/PhD, or non-US equivalent), training in cancer molecular biology, and a strong publication record for their level of training.
