Job Description
Summary
The Schnur laboratory at the Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a motivated, highly organized, and resourceful individual to recruit and assess adults with acute stroke in a hospital setting and to test healthy and impaired language speakers. Beyond recruiting and testing participants, the position will involve other facets of research including organizing and analyzing behavioral and neuroimaging data. This position will report to the laboratory's Senior Speech Language Pathologist. This position is part-time at 60 pecent.
Job Duties
- Recruits and tests acute stroke patients and during follow up.
- Recruits and test healthy controls.
- Organizes data from assessments.
- Analyzes data from assessments.
- Prepares data for public dissemination
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- One year of relevant experience.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Texas State Licensure as a Speech Pathologist from the Texas State Board of Examiners. Clinical fellowship with ASHA and state CF license from Texas State Board.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assessing cognitive abilities in adult neurotypical and/or brain-damaged populations.
