Summary

This is a unique nursing/management position that supports a College strategic priority to drive philanthropy, stewardship, practice growth, new revenue, and institutional reputation. This position will recruit, hire, and develop a diverse team to support clinical and other services for Trustees, Donors, Elected Officials, Client Executives, International Patients, and others identified as Constituents. This is a high-profile position within these groups and the BCM executive leadership. The ideal candidate is an intelligent and highly-skilled RN who has or is pursuing an advanced education, demonstrates executive functioning, interacts with utmost professionalism and polish, and is passionate about comprehensive care coupled with exceptional service.

Job Duties

  • Applies superior nursing skills proactively and responsively to the top of his/her professional license including complex case management, encounter management, treatment planning, interdisciplinary care, order facilitation, inpatient admissions, and cutting-edge healthcare education to 300+ program members.
  • Has daily contact with Constituents about their personal health status, goals, and care needs. Maintains all information in a confidential and highly discreet manner.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to grow the special patient base, maintain excellent standards, and maintain competitive position. Assists with philanthropy and business development activities.
  • Develops and leads a team of 5+ navigators to deliver highly-responsive and personalized service to eligible program members. Effectively prioritizes work and triages needs to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
  • Identifies top clinical experts and College executives to serve as ambassadors and advisors to patients and clients. Develops workflows, communication protocols, and a 24/7/365 coverage schedule.
  • Reports to the program Executive Director with strong accountability to the CEO, EVP/Dean, VP/COO, and CMO.
  • Provides or delegates logistical support for patient encounters across the TMC and remotely, if able.
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of related strategic initiatives or programs.
  • Seeks education/training to stay abreast of industry best practices, innovative treatments and modern care delivery methods.
  • Provides leadership and support to other Baylor Medicine service lines as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Four years of relevant experience as a licensed Registered Nurse (RN).  
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Texas Board of Nursing. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience serving special or complex patient populations.
  • Experience in or knowledge of research and training methodologies
  • Working knowledge of the institution.
  • Exceptional written communication and personal interaction skills.
